Ano(t)raks

Miho Tsujibayashi  "Clarté"

The first album from the singer-songwriter who has steadily spread her fame by participating in works including a compilation album from Japanese indie pop label Ano(t)raks, or a work by Lemmon (Japanese city pop unit). Including both self-produced-and-recorded songs as well as full band-backed numbers produced by Masayuki Ishii, it offers a fun blend of bedroom symphony-tinged music being the former, and city pop-like sound, the latter. With the sometimes-over-acrobatic chord progression, it comes as a fresh surprise, beyond what is described simply as 'well-made.'
