声優の大坪由佳とボカロPのゆうゆによるユニットが、昨年の結成&デビューを経て初ミニ・アルバムを完成。今作にも収録のシングル曲“花雪”では雅なメロディーに乗って大人っぽい歌声を響かせていたが、新曲ではサーカスや「不思議の国のアリス」をモチーフにしたようなメルヘン度の高いサウンド上で、純真無垢な可愛らしさを披露。ゆうゆの代表曲“深海少女”のカヴァーでの切々とした表情も愛おしく、グッときます。

Following its formation and debut last year, Smiley Inc., a unit composed of voice actress Yuka Otsubo and vocaloid producer Yuuyu has released their first mini album. The mature vocal and elegant melodies can be enjoyed on the single track “Hana Yuki (meaning Flowery Snow)” recorded in the latest album yet again, but on the other hand, the new songs are cute, innocent and pure with fairy-tale-ish melodies as if they came from a circus or ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ The cover version of Yuyu’s most popular song “Shinkai Shoujo (meaning Girl of the Deep Sea)” has a plangent and lovable atmosphere, and it’s really touching.
