[English Translation]
Shiina Pikarin’s Shikkoku no Yami ni Somarishi Utagoe ga Kisama nimo Kikoeruka... (meaning Can You Too Hear the Pitch Black Darkness-tainted Singing...?)
Hikari Shiina, originally a reader-model and great fan of otaku culture has completed her first ever mini-album as Pikarin, following the releases of 2 other singles. The setup of her being a ‘makai artist (= devil hell artist)’ can be found evident in the title with her 'Chuunibyo' middle-school 2nd year syndrome (= characteristic behavior of teenagers going through puberty) in full swing, yet, her lispy singing, along to twinkling computer tracks made by vocaloid producer HachioujiP, about topics such as cosmetics, 'otome games (= games geared towards otaku girls)' and pigtails charmfully decorates the album. The projection of doubt-free straightforward ‘moe (= Japanese slang word originally referring to fetish / love / passion for characters in video games, anime / manga or something young, sweet and innocent)’ is nothing but impressive.
