No pre-meetings, just single-shot immediate recording. That is exactly why the studio is flooded with fresh ‘hey-what-was-that?!’ tones and sounds. This is a piece that beautifully portrays and records the ‘time and space/timeliness’ that could only exist in recording sessions where each performer are required to pay the utmost attention to the sounds that each other play. Recorded by a team consisting of percussion, drums and Shimizu (who basically plays many other instruments), the results were then taken in the hands of Shimizu himself who put together the recorded pieces over a year's period. A great release of a piece that will refine your ‘ear’, - an album that announces the arrival of a new ‘post-improvisation’ - like era to also enjoy the 'atmosphere' created by free and open impromptu, and not just to feel the energy and sense of tension produced at free or open improvisation sessions as people used to.
