The 21-year-old singer-songwriter hailing from Oita prefecture has released this first album from a major label after gaining favorable reputations at many contests. The slightly husky voice and mature way of singing are her trademarks that match sounds ranging from spacious UK rock to US alternative. While slow or pop dramatic tunes employing strings and the piano are excellent, her music catch our ears even with the song and acoustic guitar alone, thanks to the power of melodies based on her good taste of setting lyrics on the melodies.
