Yoko Nagisa “Nagisa Strut”
With a 20-year singing career in authentic Japanese Showa era pop, Yoko Nagisa releases a studio album that includes covers like the Japanese rare groove gem "Deep Purple Wa Doko? (meaning Where Are Deep Purple?)" and "Tsugaru Kaikyo Fuyugeshiki (meaning Tsugaru Strait - Winter Scene)," punctuating them with originals. The main vocals are dramatically highlighted and backed by such emotive instrumentation as weeping hard rock-tinged guitar and romantic quivering organ. "Saigo No Hito (meaning The Last Man)" by veteran composer Takuya Fujimoto even features Nagisa's passionate scream.
