3年半ぶりの11作目。来たるべき季節をアーバンに彩るだろうシンセ・ファンク“サマーソング”がアンセミックな輝きを放つが、総体としてはトラックメイキングにおけるオーガニックなアプローチをこれまで以上に押し進めた印象で、肩ひじの張らない開放的なサウンドスケープが展開されている。ジャケの水面のようにアコギがきらめく“緑の光線”をはじめ、何気ない日常を美しく描き出した楽曲が詰まってます。

Three years after the last, Japanese hip hop/instrumental unit Small Circle of Friends' 11th full-length album "Silence" arrives. The synth funk of "Summer Song", which will colour the coming season, shines with an anthemic quality. On the whole, it seems that the album further adopts an organic, natural approach to trackmaking, unfolding a casual, open-ended soundscape. Like the shimmering acoustic guitar licks of "Midori No Kousen (meaning Green Ray)," which embodies the sea surface of its cover art, the album is full of songs that beautifully depict usual everyday life.
