三者三様のクリエイターが集ったノイズ・エレクトロニカ・バンドのファースト・アルバム。1曲目からリフレインする〈マンモス〉のフレーズに心を奪われ、カオティックでアヴァンギャルドな音の世界へ。サーキットベンディングや改造ラジカセ、自作の電子楽器、シャウトを用いた実験的なサウンドで、ディープなアンビエントや疾走感溢れるテクノは縦横無尽。好き放題な感じが楽しく、遊び心に起因する親しみやすさもイイ。

Comprised of three professional creators - ikebana flower specialist, photographer and graphic/web designer - highly distinguished noise electronica trio Mammoth release their first full-length album. “Tokyoto” pulls you into a chaotic, avant-garde, sonic world from the off as the refrain of “mommoth” casts a mesmeric spell. It offers an experimental sound that takes in circuit bending, yelling and self-customised tape decks, freewheeling through propelling techno and deep ambient. Its self-indulgence turns out to be a real fun, bringing out the band’s playfulness that lends nice accessibility to the album.
