結果的に最後のプロジェクトとなった主演映画と、渋谷WWWにおけるラスト・ライヴをパッケージ。茉里と蒼波純を中心に繰り広げられる映画のほうは、震災以降のディストピア感覚を下地にした奇妙な平熱感を味わえる作品で、すでに随分昔のことのように思えるアイドル元禄時代を思いながら深夜にぼんやり眺めたい雰囲気。これで所在なさを葬り去ることができるか。

Izukoneko  "Sekai no Owari no Izukoneko＋2014.12.20 LAST LIVE"

Often described as a feline-kind, little-crittery neo pop idol Mari’s solo unit, Izukoneko’s latest work has been released as a double DVD containing the apocalyptic science fiction film “Sekai no Owari no Izukoneko (eng. The End of the World and the Cat's Disappearance)” in which she stars and which actually ended up being her final project, along with the recording of her last gig [2014.12.20 LAST LIVE] held at the live-music venue, Shibuya WWW. Featuring her and co-star Jun Aonami (fashion model/idol/actress) as main characters, the movie offers a strange calmness based upon a post-(Great East Japan Earthquake-)catastrophic dystopian feel that may be good for your after-midnight casual watching while pondering the past, peaceful yet flourishing idol era that seems like such a long time ago already. Wouldn’t that be enough to bury the feeling of something-missing?
