Inviting Steve Albini from Shellac to be a producer, Mono recorded their ninth album at the Electrical Audio studio. This convincing sound is undoubtedly unique to the Japanese post rock band as the title track unfurls a furious noise symphony and the strings of "Stellar" create magnificent soundscape. The band say “reading Divine Comedy made us aware that we’d been engaging with the same thing as Dante.” Indeed, the comment is borne out by this transcendental beauty throughout their sound.
