1978年に結成され現在も活動を行うカテゴライズ不能のバンド。シュールレアリスムの同人誌を介して出会い「自動記述」の音への転換という発想の下、即興演奏を主軸に活動を始めたという。本作は1985年に録音が完了していたが、この度30年近い年月を経て新作として陽の目を見る事となった。ビートを刻む事もあれば、時々ギターやシンセの和音や旋律になりそうな瞬間も目撃されるが、それを鳴らしている意図は全くもって不明。あらゆる呪縛や影響をするするとすり抜けて行くフリーフォームな音は30年前のものとは思えない。個々の音楽への接し方を覆しかねない静かなる劇薬。

Inryo-fuen "Hoaku"
A release from an uncategorizable band formed in 1978 and still very much in action today. The members met via a doujinshi (fanzine) on 'surrealism', and started performing, mainly impromptu, based under the shared concept of 'the conversion to "automatically described" sounds'. This piece had once completed recording in 1985, but only now is it finally seeing the light of the day as a new release, after nearly 30 years. Beats pulse rhythmically and abruptly and there are occasions of the sounds of guitar and synthesizer joining in just as if to form melodies and harmonies, but the genuine intention of why those sounds are put their leaves numerous question marks. This free-form style of sounds skillfully weaving its way through any spell or bearing is hard to believe it's from 3 decades ago. A quiet and deadly drug that may overturn one's interaction with music.
