すべてが謎に包まれていた約4年半ぶりのフル作が、いよいよ解禁。サンホラのパブリック・イメージを打ち破るエレクトロニックなナンバー“檻の中の箱庭”が衝撃的だが、ほぼすべての楽曲の冒頭にSF的な効果音が挿入され、そこから真骨頂であるシアトリカルで壮大なサウンドに突入していく様は、これまでの〈物語音楽〉をメタ的視点で振り返っていくかのような感覚も。メジャー・デビュー10周年記念に相応しい作品だ。

After mystery-shrouded four and a half years, Sound Horizon finally released their full-length album. The electronic number “Ori no Naka no Hakoniwa (meaning Miniature Garden in a Cage)” overturns their public images electrifyingly, however, sci-fi-ish sound effects are inserted in the opening of almost all of the tracks and they gradually get into the theatrical, magnificent sounds of their true value, creating a sense as if looking back on ‘the story of their music’ from a metaphysical view. This is the perfect piece to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their major label debut.
