Having gained much attention for her earlier English cover of “I LOVE YOU” (originally by legendary musician Yutaka Ozaki), the rising female jazz singer makes her debut with this summer-themed cover album featuring Cuban jazz icon&premier saxophonist, César López, as producer. Creating an extensive lineup with colorful arrangements ranging from the pleasantly sunny “Shake It Off” (Taylor Swift) to “Jirettai”(Japanese rock band Anzen Chitai), or furthermore from “Shimauta”(THE BOOM) to “Stay With Me”(Sam Smith), her sweet dainty vocals nicely snuggle up with distinctive world of each track respectively. Transforming from a graceful slow tune into Cuban son, “Koi Suru Fortune Cookie (meaning Fortune Cookie in Love)" is especially great.
