デビュー1年強の5人組男子が早くもアルバムを完成。今風のディスコ～ファンクな意匠で固めた快い聴き心地からEspeciaを連想するのは容易だし（Hi-Fi Cityの参加もある）、90年代のSMAPサウンドを思い浮かべる人もいるだろう。つまり、イマっぽさと同時にボーイズ・グループの伝統性を踏まえたオーセンティックな輝きがここにはあるのだ。全体のテンポが足並みを揃えたことで、2曲あるスロウでの素朴な歌心も活きる。好盤!

Just one odd year after their debut, CUBERS have completed their first album. It's plain to recall the Japanese idol girl group Especia as the five piece boy band's exhilarating takes deploy modern disco and funk tropes (Hi-Fi City, known for producing Especia’s works, are also featured in the album.) Some might come up with SMAP in the '90s. It all adds up to an authentic sheen based on both modernity and the tradition of boy bands. Most of the songs run at similar tempos, making the vocalists' deliveries on two slow, simple tracks stand out. Essential piece!
