中原中也「盲目の秋」の朗読からもわかるように、即興性を軸にした前作から一変。よりストイックにリリックを書くことと対峙し、自身の内面を濃く反映した、生々しい内容の2作目だ。いずこねこを手掛けたサクライケンタがトラックを提供するなど、その活動のなかで出会った面々とのコラボも実現。姫乃たまのウィスパー・ヴォイスが絶妙なバランスで加わった“keep”などポップな面も採り入れ、生き様を体現した傑作。

GOMESS - "Shi"

From his previous work that mainly took an 'impromptu' approach, rapper GOMESS, who lives with autism, has completely turned around his style in this latest release as clearly suggested, for example, by the reading of the famous poem "Moumoku no Aki (meaning Blind Autumn)" by Nakahara Chuya, the Japanese poet who was active in the early Showa period and now a subject of classroom study. This latest album that marks his second release is full of rawness that heavily reflects his own inner self, an outcome of engaging in lyric writings with an ever more stoic attitude. Included are collaborative works with many of the fellow artists he encountered through his artistic activities, such as the track provided by Kenta Sakurai, the musician/producer famous for producing the former feline-ish idol Izukoneko (who seized her activities last summer). The track "keep" welcomes the whispering vocals of Japanese underground idol, Himeno Tama, creating a finely balanced harmony, and with these new pop elements included, the album is an excellent piece that perfectly personifies his own attitude towards life.
