What, or actually, WHO is GLUTAMINE?? The vocalist who owns videos played over 100 million times enters into the 2nd chapter of his career, making available the latest music video of his single “GIANT KILLING”.

By: Mikiki (Toshiya Oguma)

The video uploaded to a video sharing site back in 2009 apparently created an enormous sensation, resulting in a collective more-than-100million plays of all related videos of the artist. We are talking about GLUTAMINE, the widely accepted up-and-coming solo vocalist who is also gathering a solid and growing follower base of more than 270 thousand users on Twitter. As the very first artist to make a release from the newly launched label 〈UNIVERSAL-W〉 led by Yoshihito Onda (former leader of rock band JUDY AND MARY) and his creators’ collective, he will be releasing a single “GIANT KILLING” on April 20th, and the music video of the song is now available to view.

GLUTAMINE positions “GIANT KILLING” as the piece that marks the beginning of his ‘2nd chapter’, and is a truly original song written and composed solely by himself. The theme underlying the song is ‘the battle between my dreams and myself, and gratitude for all the support’. It was not always a smooth sail, and the artist has been forced to overcome turbulences of his own, and this song has turned out to be a heartfelt piece full of his gratitude toward his fans who had been there from long before he reaches stardom.

Check the video of the Hatsune Miku version of the coupling track, ‘Hiko Shojo to Boku (meaning The Flying Girl and Me)” now available on Nico Nico Douga. His gratitude toward Vocaloid characters, such as Hatsune Miku, that played an active part in spreading the artist’s name is well expressed here too.
