MowMowLuLuGyaban  "Champs-Elysées"

After taking a hiatus from live performances, Japanese rock band MowMowLuLuGyaban has released the fourth album which can be characterized as their full comeback album. It is simple but packed with lots of foreign elements as if their core sound were laid bare. Restlessly ticking 16th note rhythm, solemn keyboard sounds like a pipe organ and groaning bass lines - these seemingly unmatched elements surge as one toward you, and take many unexpected twists and turns. Such a new wave and post punk approach, indeed, precisely indicates the feature that distinguishes them from other bands, which is their critical spirit. The fond caress of the band sound represented in Gary's unbound vocals is simply irresistible. This, indeed, is one fine revival album!
