Le Lien “Ganbari Doki”

Now is the 'Ganbari Doki (the time to stick to it)' as models, actresses and band members! The group of 4, steadily paving their ways to bloom as tight artists, breaks into the major scene!
Formed in 2013, the all-girl band Le Lien has been playing live shows since last spring. As they originally started their careers as models or actresses, they had little or no experience in the music industry. Therefore, rather, their appeal is how their bond gets stronger and how they grow up together, as their name - meaning 'bond' in French - suggests.
"We are poor at playing instruments and MCing is far from good... But some fans say they like our loose feel. So, while maintaining that feature, we hope to become cool like SCANDAL (all-female Japanese rock band)." (Shione, Vocal/Guitar)
"I think I have grown so much. In terms of listening to music, I used to just follow the lyrics. But now, while listening to CDs by other bands, I try to follow the same part as I play in my band. I feel that the way I listen to music has changed." (Karin/Bass)

This cheerful, still-in-their-growth Le Lien has just made its major label debut! The first single "Ganbari Doki" is a powerful piece that is coupled with the love song "Every time～Kirai no Hantai (meaning Every time～Opposite of Hate)," to which the lyrics Shione gave some ideas. Also, type-C of the first limited edition contains as bonus tracks, covers of songs of Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku and Team Syachihoko (both are their senior idol groups from the same agency), for which Shione says, "These songs are received well at our live shows. We even receive rhythmic cheers from the audience, and it’s great fun!"
"I hope "Ganbari Doki" will reach many people as it is a song that everyone can enjoy together, as well as a cheering song for all, regardless of gender. They have lyrics we can relate to ourselves. Like, 'Do everything perfect during practice but make a blunder during the real thing' - this is exactly what I do (laughs)." (Shione)
Now is the 'Ganbari Doki (the time to stick to it)' for Le Lien, keeping to those self-inspiring words from the title, as they start off in the major scene. It would be a fool not to go along with their positive momentum!

"Yeah. The rhythm section has to lead the band and get it together, so we'll keep working even harder! And, we need to improve our MC to set the stage alight!" (Hikari/Drums)
"We are seen as idols for now... It's true, but we hope to be also seen as artists at some time in the future. To that end, we have to practice more. We'll work even harder so that we can present our charms through music!" (Minami/Keybords)
