感動のもっと先へ誘う、堂々のファースト・アルバム!
広島を盛り上げるのは〈カープ女子〉だけじゃないぞ!──というわけで、地元の専用劇場・STUDIO MAPLEをホームグラウンドに、2013年1月から元気に活動しているのが、ひろしまMAPLE★S。昨年6月の“Boom! Boom! Miracle Emotion”はタワレコの全店総合チャートで10位、続く12月の“RPM”は、オリコンのインディーズ・チャートで1位を記録。じわじわと全国区にその名を広めているところだ!
村田ゆか「楽曲をすごく誉めていただけるんですよ。作曲チームのOscillophoneさんがひとつひとつ愛情を注いで楽曲を作ってくださってますし、EDM系とかダブステップとかロックとか、一曲一曲にいろんな味があるんです」
景山渚紗「心に沁みる歌詞があったり、カッコイイだけとかカワイイだけじゃない、いろんな曲があって、全部楽しんでもらえてると思います!」
香山紗英「ノンストップでやるライヴも魅力ですね。曲が進むにつれてお客さんもヒートアップするし、メンバーも体力勝負というかハイになっていって」
先立っては、全国6か所を巡る初のツアーも大成功!……といったところで、まさに満を持しての登場となるのが、ファースト・アルバム『ENDEAVORRR』。再録も含めてこれまでのシングル（デビュー作の“SUNRIZE”を除く）を網羅し、（表題が示すように）これまでの努力の成果を記したアルバムでもあるが、全体を見渡せば、汗と涙と根性だけでは語れないメジャー級のエンターテイメントがここにはある!
ゆか「一曲一曲にすごく思い出があるから、約2年間の出来事を思い出しますね」
紗英「私が加入する前からあった曲もこのアルバムでは歌わせていただいて。卒業した先輩たちの思いも受け止めながら、大切にしていかなきゃなって思います」
渚紗「私も途中からなんですけど、最初のころは声が震えたり、力みすぎちゃったり……でも、最近の曲ではソロのパートもいただけるようになったり、がんばってよかったなあって思います」
川原亜美「私も最初のうちはレコーディングのたびに悔しい思いをしてたんですけど、ホント、曲に成長させてもらったなあって」
小泉明音「うん、この曲はレコーディングのときにすごく怒られたなあとか、昔の曲に比べていまの曲では（自分自身の）表現の幅が広がったかなとか、すごく感慨深いですね」
そんなアルバムを手にして、秋からは2度目の全国ツアー（その前に、夏はイヴェント三昧!）を開催し、来年1月には赤坂BLITZでのワンマンも決定!と、ますます意気上がるところ!
亜美「個人の目標としては、もうちょいキラキラ感を身に付けたいです（笑）。アイドルが好きで、入る前からMAPLE★Sのイヴェントも観に行ってましたし、いまでも対バンで好きなアイドルさんに会えたら〈はぁ～♡〉ってなるんです。いずれは自分がそういうふうに思ってもらえる対象になりたいですね」
明音「BLITZは未知の世界なんですけど、いまできることを一生懸命やったら結果はついてくると信じて、がんばっていきたいなって思います」
Hiroshima MAPLE★S "ENDEAVORRR"

“Carp Girls,” the fans of the pro baseball team Hiroshima Carp aren’t the only girls enlivening Hiroshima! Let me introduce Hiroshima MAPLE★S, the idol group who has been working hard and actively since January of 2013 at their home-ground, a private local theatre called STUDIO MAPLE. “Boom! Boom! Miracle Emotion” released last year in June ranked number ten on Tower Records’ Storewide Singles Chart, followed by “RPM” released last December that rated number one on Oricon’s Indies Chart. It looks like the girls are slowly making a name for themselves across the nation!
Yuka Murata “We get great feedback on our songs. The composer team, Oscillophone creates each song with love and devotion, and the tracks vary from EMD, dub step and rock giving a distinguished taste to each song.”
Nagisa Kageyama “There are lyrics that’ll touch you and they’re not just cool or cute. The variation will definitely give you a good time.”
Sae Kayama “Our nonstop concert is one of our charms too. As the concert progresses the audience gets heated and we get really hyped up and high from all the action, as if it were a matter of stamina.”
Recently the group had successfully completed their first tour in which they performed in six venues! …So it’s prime time to release their first album “ENDEAVORRR.” Re-recorded singles included, all single titles are on this album (except “SUNRIZE” their debut single.) This album is exactly as the title states, an album which recorded their ‘endeavors’ to date. But listening to the whole album you will hear that there is a major artists’ quality in this “ENDEAVORRR” that goes beyond what could be achieved by blood, sweat and tears!
Yuka “Each song has precious memories. The album is a trip down memory lane of the last two years for me.”
Sae “I got to sing songs that were released before I joined the group. So I want to keep in mind the thoughts the graduated predecessors had in mind to do them justice.”
Nagisa “I’m also the new girl, and I remember how my voice used to tremble or how stiff I used to be when I first joined… But now I’m getting solo parts on new tracks, and I’m happy that my hard work payed off.”
Ami Kawahara “I used to feel disappointed in myself after each recording, but I think all the tracks has helped be improve and grow.”
Akane Koizumi “Yeah, listening to these songs, I remember being told off on recordings or how my range of expression has grown compared to how I used to be. It’s priceless."
Geared with their new album, Hiroshima MAPLE★S will begin their second national tour this autumn (and a summer full of events)! They are also scheduled for a solo concert at Akasaka Blitz on January of next year! The morale of the group is on the rise even more!
Ami “My personal goal is to add a little more shine to myself (lol). I love idols and I used to go and see MAPLE★S concerts before I joined them. Even today I get star struck when I get to perform with other idols. So I aim to be an idol like that myself.”
Akane “BLITZ is a new milestone for us, but I believe doing the best we can today will lead to great results, we’ll keep endeavoring.”
