昨年、傑作アルバム『blacknote』を生み出したKOJOE×Olive Oil。本EPの表題曲では、Olive Oilのループを軸に少しずつ変化していくトラックに合わせ、KOJOEは歌い上げにも近いヴォーカル的なラップを聴かせる。事程左様に〈お互いの打ち出すもの〉に対して〈どう返すか〉のスリリングさが本作の肝であり、予定調和ではないラップとトラックの噛合せは、まるでジャズ・セッションのようだ。

Following the monumental joint album “blacknote” last year, prominent rapper KOJOE and equivalent beatmaker Olive Oil got together again for this latest EP. Along with Olive Oil’s bit-by-bit evolving tracks beats on the fixed loop, KOJOE drops his almost-vocal-ish powerful rap on the title track. In such way, as the mutual thrill of ‘how to respond’ to ‘what you present’ is firmly set at the core, the non-preset harmony of rap and beat actually comes out as if it were a jazz session.
