Yogee New Waves' new EP allows us to see that they have achieved solid growth over the past year and now have become one of the most influential bands in the Tokyo indie scene. It comprises of a variety of music numbers including “Like Sixteen Candles” on which they successfully show off their improved arranging skills with its dynamic unfoldment of the song, “Night is Coming” which creates the laid-back atmosphere with the sound of percussion instruments and a synthesizer, and even a remix track by DORIAN. Their romantic lyrics also create an aura of them being a potential successor to the indie pop legend, Sunny Day Service.
