fraqsea is a solo project by aya, who sings and plays the guitar in shoegaze band Shelling. Her second album dabbles in techno and house, absorbing their essences with atmospheric yet rambling guitar sounds. aya revels in danceable beats, sprinkling twinkling electronics like stardust onto each driving number. As the vast spacey sound unfolds, the most notable charm is her transparent whispering voice. A series of ambient tracks leads you to the climax of the album, enhancing her celestial vocal. Here, shoegaze and electronica are delicately stirred into a mellifluous cocktail that takes you into a daydream.
