A Japanese singer-songwriter who is gaining attention through her music for NHK’s "Beppin-san" morning drama, sébuhiroko drops her second album, which coincides with the release of the drama’s soundtrack album. It’s a provoking effort as it adopts a completely different style to what she has shown in “Beppin-san.” There are sweet moments with acoustic instruments like "Honeymoon," written by Japanese singer-songwriter Fuyumi Abe, though “L/GB” is dominated by tracks that provide a dark soundscape akin to gothic new wave. Techno musician Yoshinori Sunahara’s remix is also a captivating, decadent French techno pop tune that brings Mikado to mind.
