惜しまれつつ閉館した吉祥寺バウスシアターで働きながら音楽活動を続けていたシンガー・ソングライターが、バンド名義の初作を発表。トッド・ラングレンの2作目の世界観と通底している“青い山賊”をはじめ、たゆたうようなメロウなメロディーを持つ白日夢的フォーキー・ポップが満載で、石橋英子のフルート、柴田聡子のコーラスなどゲストの客演も素晴らしい。端々から豊饒な才気が溢れ返っている静かな傑作。

The singer song-writer who continued his music activities as he worked at Kichijoji Baus Theatre which regrettably closed last year, has released a new album as a band. Including the track “Aoi Sanzoku (meaning Blue Bandit)” that connects to the artistry of Todd Rundgren’s second album, this piece of work is full of day-dreamy folk-pop with undulating mellow melodies. Ide also featured many wonderful guest musicians starring Eiko Ishibashi on the flute and Satoko Shibata on the chorus. A quiet masterpiece that overflows with brilliant creativity.
