This is the new album of Louie Vega, who has been making enormous contributions to the house music scene through his solo works as a DJ/producer or running his record label, as well as with the works together with his long-time partner Kenny Dope as Masters At Work. After blowing listeners away with the fat grooves in the remix of Funkadelic at the very beginning, the album picks up stream featuring a huge cast of musicians ranged from star-studded female artists such as Adeva, N’Dea Davenport, Jocelyn Brown, and Caron Wheeler, to his long-time friends such as Kenny Bobien, Josh Milan (Blaze), and Byron Stingily. Along with numbers that serve as a hook such as the covers of Stevie Wonder’s “Joy Inside My Tears” and “You've Got It Bad Girl,” or the Latin jazz number “Because We Love It” with jazz/soul new sensation Zara McFarlane, this two-disc album is loaded with the allures of Latin, soul, and jazz connected with house music as its basic tone.
