It was probably last year that I came to hear about My Hair is Bad often: that 'there is an awesome band.' My Hair is Bad is a talented 3-piece rock band from Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture that intrepidly performed as many as 140 live shows in 2014. They clawed their way to one of the top selling live bands, with all the tickets selling out every time they tour alone in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.
Their second single is vividly vacuum-packed with singing that is compelling even only with a simple guitar accompaniment together with raging impulses. I was totally enthralled from the opener track "Makka" starting with the lyrics 'Brassiere no Hook wo Hazusu Tokidake, Kokorono Nakamade Wakatta Kigashita (meaning Only when I unhook your bra, I feel like I can see inside your heart).' The works on this single with such outspoken lyrics piercing your hearts are very much likely to be performed at music festivals. The picture-evoking lyrics and their live shows filled with explosive energy akin to Sambomaster (Japanese rock band) is a must-see at any rate. Many music fans would be absolutely astounded at the performance of this high-profile new band that is likely to be a powerhouse in the music scene this year.
