前作『Rang』からおよそ3年ぶり、通算3枚目となるスタジオ・アルバム。彼女の作品ではもはやお馴染みのタブラ奏者であるU-zhaan、プロデューサーとしても最近は引っ張りだこのmabanua、コーネリアス・グループへの参加でも知られるギタリストの清水ひろたかなど、交流の深いアーティストをゲストに迎えた本作は、さまざまな楽器の音色とリズム、そして多重コーラスを立体的に配置したフォークトロニカ的な音作りが主体。そこにminakumariのコケティッシュな歌声がスッと溶け込んでいる。少ない音数で構築した上品なアンサンブルの中心は、もちろん彼女の奏でるシタール。しかし、全体としてエスノ風味は抑えられており、非常に洗練されたポップスとして楽しめる作品だ。

Japanese singer-songwriter minakumari's third studio album, released about 3 years after the last album "Rang." Welcoming fellow musicians including U-zhaan, the tabla player who often appears on her works, mabanua, the multiple musician who has recently become much sought-after also as a producer, and Hirotaka Shimizu, a guitarist who is also known for his participation in the Cornelius Group, this album is basically built around folktronica-flavored sound, with the tones and rhythms produced by various instruments and multiple choruses placed in three dimensions. minakumari's coquettish singing is perfectly blended into the sound. Lying at the core of the refined ensemble, constructed with the minified number of tones, is of course the sitar she plays. However, with the low-key ethnic flavor, one can enjoy this album as sophisticated pop.
