This is the first full album from a boy/girl duo featuring 23-year old Remi Matsuo, an intense shouter comparable to Janis Joplin.  GLIM SPANKY have a thick, hard rock and blues sound reminiscent of the 60s and 70s, but are they crazy for nostalgia?  That’s not the case.  Lyrics that draw freshly upon adolescent spirit ride on top of danceable and perky beats, making great fight songs that should honestly reach the hearts of young people who live in the now.  The duo also did a good job of wrangling such producers as Junji Iwashitari, Seiji Kameda, and Ren Takada.
