The four-piece hot stock in the Tokyo indie scene has changed their band name from sanm to Cairo, and here comes their first album released under the new stage name. The vocals that effectively go back and forth between falsetto and the natural base voice and the atmospheric guitar sounds that seem to blur the silhouette of the singing come together with the humble but tight percussions, giving rise to an exquisite air of psychedelia. The black music-oriented feel ―so well-attached to sounds like these nowadays― is toned down, and the music is geared more towards a guitar-pop or new wave tone, making it a refreshing listen overall.
