The Natsuyasumi Band "PHANTASIA"
Their last album might have come out in spring, but it is summer that aptly lives up to their name, The Natsuyasumi Band (―natsuyasumi is Japanese for ‘summer holiday’). Their latest piece deploys strings on top of their usual instruments such as steelpan and trumpet, making for their most organically gracious sound ever. Songs like "GRAND MASTER MEMORIES," a party tune that features female rap trio Yomeiriland, evoke an arresting bitter sweet mood that brings to mind sentimental memories in a bygone summer.
