paletに訪れた変化の時
傑作だとしつこく強調しておきたいアルバム『LOVE n' ROLL !!』で輝かしく始まったかに思えたpaletの2015年。ですが、そのリリース・ツアー・ファイナルにおいて、君島光輝が6月21日の3周年記念ワンマンをもって卒業することを発表し、体調不良で休養中（なので写真には不在）の木元みずきも同日に卒業することに……。この本が出る頃にはもうワンマンも終わった後になるのですが、ここではそれに先駆けて登場したシングル“Time to Change”を紹介しておきましょう。
伊秩弘将のペンによる表題曲は、グループの状況を反映して別離と旅立ちをしっとり歌い上げたナンバーで、〈終わりは始まり〉と歌う姿が胸に迫るもの。陽光の下で弾けるカップリング“いつだってI LOVE YOU!!!”のポップさも妙に眩しいです。4年連続での出演となるTIFなど、この夏は奮闘するメンバーたちの姿をぜひ確認したい!

It’s time to change for palet.
Releasing their masterpiece album “LOVE n’ ROLL” (emphasis on ‘masterpiece’), 2015 started out great for palet. But things took a turn when Mitsuki Kimijima made her graduation announcement during their LOVE n' ROLL final tour that she’d leave the group after June 21st, their third anniversary solo concert. This news was followed by Mizuki Kimoto’s graduation announcement on the same date as well, who is currently on her sick leave (that’s why she’s not in this photo)… By the time this book gets around, their solo concert would be over, but I’d like to introduce their latest single, “Time to Change” released prior to June 21st.
The title song written by big time producer Hiromasa Ijichi reflects the band’s status quo. A time of separation and a new beginning on an elegant melody with moving lyrics, ‘the end is the beginning.’ The single is coupled with “Itsudatte I Love You (meaning I Love You Always),” a happy tune that sparkles under the sun with a dazzling pop-ness. For the fourth year in a row, palet will be performing at Tokyo Idol Festival. Check out the girls in action for a new beginning this summer!
