紅一点シンガーの沖メイを中心に、サポートなどで活躍するギタリストの田中“TAK”拓也、Yasei Collectiveのリズム隊という強力なメンツから成る4人組の初アルバム。生演奏と打ち込みのトラックの中間をいく現代ジャズ的なビートを軸に、プログレッシヴに展開する楽曲の上を、エフェクトを駆使した歌声が漂う世界観は唯一無二。日本産のフューチャー・ソウル、あるいはSpangle call Lilli lineの発展形のような印象も。

ZA FEEDO have released their debut album. The four-piece band consists of female singer Mei Oki, in-demand supporting guitarist Takuya 'TAK' Tanaka, Masanao Matsushita and Michihiko Nakanishi, two of the rhythm section of the modern electro crossover band Yasei Collective. The album draws a singular soundscape, unfolding buoyant effect-heavy vocals over forward-thinking tunes with their contemporary jazz-styled drums that land somewhere between live instrumentation and programming. It conjures something like Japanese future soul or an advanced version of the three-piece Japanese indie band Spangle call Lilli line.
