磨き上げられた緩急自在のアンサンブルと、井上うにの実験的なポスト・プロダクションとのコラボレーションは、いまも3ピースの可能性を拡張し続ける。7拍子で転調しながら繰り返されるメランコリックなピアノから一転、サビになるとノイズに包まれる“セラミック・ユース”、パーカッションを交えた性急なリズムが新鮮な“逆光”は特に先鋭的な仕上がりだが、ポップソングとしての強度はむしろ上がっている。

The highly polished, varied and flexible ensemble collaborates with the experimental post production by Uni Inoue (an established engineer known for working with Ringo Sheena), continuing to expand the possibilities of a trio band. In “Ceramic Youth,” they change keys in septuple time while repeating melancholic piano phrases that abruptly turn into noise in the chorus parts. Especially, “Gyakko (meaning Backlight)” fresh with the hasty rhythm of the percussion is given an edgy finish, though their pop elements have actually been rather strengthened.
