bandcampを足掛かりに国内外の注目を得てきた、ミツメの大竹雅生らによる4人組バンドの新作。プリファブ・スプラウトを想起させるネオアコ直系の瑞々しいアンサンブルを軸に据えつつ、ひんやりしたシンセ・ファンクなど、いわゆるインターネット・ミュージックのニュアンスを滲ませたサウンドがクールに響く。何よりも磨き抜かれたメロディー揃いという1点だけで、エクスキューズなしの傑作と断言できるでしょう。

This is a new album of the four-piece band which includes Mao Ohtake from the indie rock band Mitsume, who has been drawing attention from home and abroad, making ‘bandcamp’ their jump-off point. Centering on fresh ensemble in neo acoustic-style which evokes Prefab Sprout, they resonant the sounds with so-called ‘internet music’ flavors, including chilling synth funk in the coolest way. Simply by all the polished melodies alone, I can say for sure that this is a masterpiece without excuse.
