〈ヤイエル〉と読むこのバンドは、VJもメンバーに含む昨年結成の5人組。今年は欧州ツアーを行い、METAFIVEのオープニング・アクトも務めるなど話題を広げるなか、タワレコ限定でEPが登場だ。7インチやBandcampでのEP公開はあったものの、CD作品はこれが初。マウント・キンビーあたりを思わせるダビーなトラックにブルージーな歌声がゆらりと燻って、ディープな音風景を満たしている。数量も限定なのであるうちに。

Under the intriguing name pronounced `yai-elu’ in Japanese, this band, formed just last year, comes as a 5-piece unit that features a VJ in the number. Following some attention-grabbing acts this year such as their own European tour or as the opening band for METALIVE, the super-band led by the internationally-recognized artist Yukihiro Takahashi (of YMO), here comes their latest EP sold exclusively through Tower Records Japan. While they have made releases in the past, such as a 7’vinyl and an online EP on Bandcamp, the newest actually marks its debut in CD format. The CD carries the likes of Mount Kimbie-inspired tracks where a deep soundscape is filled with slowly swinging bluesy vocals. Only a limited number available, so don’t miss out on the opportunity!!
