Debut CD from the Japanese musician and creator, whom live performance generously splurges his mastership of smartphones and tablet PCs on stage, is unsurprisingly a 'smartphone album', created 100% with iOS apps. Breakbeat-ish track "Chuck-Sin-On" features the electronic bitty sounds of ringtones, while "Chuck-Sin-Off" interfolds the unconstrained vocals of Japanese artist Satoko Fujiiwa into sampled verses. The sense of melody is absolutely fabulous, making even somewhat kitsch and tacky textures give off a nostalgic feel. This may become a real smash 'bit'!
