Negicco "Ne Vardia"

Sending love to their hometown Niigata, Negicco has released a long-awaited new single!
The group announced that they would be performing at Hibiya Outdoor Theater, Tokyo, on August 16th during the final performance of their tour at the Niigata Prefectural Civic Center in May, which can be seen more about in the concert DVD they released in April, and that August is coming up soon. This summer, Negicco is making things happen. They were invited to the tribute album to Maaya Sakamoto, while one of the members, Megu was featured on happy machine’s latest mini album. While they are playing such important roles in various fields, they are releasing this year’s first single “Ne Vardia” in order to add further impetus to themselves.
The song is written and produced by Takafumi Ikeda (Rekishi). He successfully created this strikingly crisp, vibrant, and catchy pop number. Imagining by looking at the sleeve, this is probably a love song for the neighbors and his close ones with Ikeda’s signature expressions. In any case, this song will work very powerfully especially in outdoor settings such as TIF and Hibiya Outdoor Theater. The B-side song “Oyasumi (meaning Good Night)” is a soothing number at slow tempo, written by MEG (musician/fashion designer), composed by connie (composer), and edited by Yasuhiro Hase (Yume to Cosme, lyricist/composer/arranger). It might come as a surprise since Negicco has been performing acoustic numbers at their shows, but this is actually their first ballad ever to be recorded. Like!
The remix collection [ReNegi CD] that comes with the First Press Limited Edition B, is comprised three of songs remixed by Hiroshi Matsui (composer/arranger/producer/DJ), bo en (London-based musician/producer), and Tomggg (producer/composer) respectively. Those tracks are just as impressive as expected!
