ODOTTE BAKARI NO KUNI  "SONGS"

The self-produced fourth album is an ambitious piece of work focusing on 'songs' as its title suggests. With their once-signature psychedelic sound significantly holding back, it lines up pop songs based on folk, country and blues that remind you of the warmth of fellow humans. Featuring rare monologue-like lyrics as in "Kimi wo Omou (meaning Thinking of You)" and "Honto Gomen-ne (meaning I'm So Sorry)," it might be fair to call the album 'a collection of love songs' Shimotsu Koji (vo/gu) wrote for his loved ones.
