例えばこういう佇まいに懐かしさを覚える層以外にも響いてほしいと思うメジャー・デビュー・アルバム。本人の嗜好から選ばれた80年代アイドル歌謡を再現するような世界観は、三浦徳子に森雪之丞という重鎮に詞作を仰ぐことで盤石となっているが、それが構築美や再現性を楽しむ類のカルトなオマージュになってないのは、武藤自身の資質が奇跡的な必然を引き寄せているからだろう。オープニングの“宙”で視界をパッと開き、テクノ・ポップ的な意匠の“時間というWonderland”と“彩りの夏”で軽やかに過去と現代を接合していく構成も見事。とりわけ往年的な快曲“女神のサジェスチョン”に辿り着く頃には、溌剌と輝く歌そのものの可憐さと、隠しようもないポテンシャルの虜にされているはず。別格。

Ayami Muto "Eien to Shunkan (meaning Eternity and Moment)"

A major debut album from an ex-Sakuragakuin (Japanese idol group) member, of which those who do NOT fall under the category of feeling a pang of warm nostalgia from her aura should also listen to. Her approach of reprising the 80s idol popular music all selected by her own taste is already proved rock-solid by seeking the songwriting from Japanese masters, Yoshiko Miura or Yukinojo Mori, but how it doesn’t easily slip into a cult-like hommage as if simply taking pleasure from the structural beauty or reproducibility, is all by grace of Muto's natural and miraculous endowment. The opening track "Sora" vibrantly clears and widens the view, moving on to the synthpop "Jikan to iu Wonderland (meaning The Wonderland Called Time)" and "Irodori no Natsu (meaning Summer of Colors)" that artfully and merrily connects the past and now. By the time you reach the delicious oldie-ish song "Megami no Suggestion (meaning the Suggestion from the Goddess)", you should already be hooked on the sweetness of the fresh and lively songs, as well as the unconcealable potential she holds. This is a one in a totally different class.
